I really wish I was going to Interbike this year...
After a long, somewhat rocky (what with all the Armstrong drama) and honestly sad absence from the "bicycle" portion of the industry; Greg LeMond is making his comeback as it were at the Interbike trade show this year in Las Vegas.
The cited story above provides some great details; sharing that LeMond has partnered with long time composites expert Jean Marc Gueugneaud (of Look, TVT, Time Sport pedigree) to bring what can be counted on to be cutting edge and innovative bicycles to market bearing the American cycling pioneer's name once again.
The above image was released as a teaser on Thursday, 9/12 but it appears as though we'll have to wait for the show to open before we know more about details such as frame specs, construction, and branding.
Word also is that Valentino Campagnolo (yes, that Campagnolo) will be appearing with Greg for the unveiling. With Campy components conspicuously present in the teaser shot we can hope for some sort of partnership with the Italian components manufacturer as well.
Greg is an acquaintance and I am thrilled to see his return. I'll be pining for one of these frames - scheming to get my hands on one. Stay tuned for more...you can be sure I'll have my ear to the ground on this one...
